World on Yonge Parks

A sculptural approach was taken to the land itself for this park, with brick-clad tectonic masses gently rising from the ground and an undulating seating feature.

Strata ownership allows the surface to be true City-owned parkland, even though it sits above a private underground garage that belongs to the surrounding development. Footings, servicing, and other construction details were coordinated to ensure that the horizontal property delineations were respected.
